It’s Hard to Imagine Ending a Day at Magic Kingdom Without ‘Wishes’ Fireworks

The fireworks show – Wishes is one of the most breath-taking night-time experiences that Magic Kingdom Park of Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. It’s the star of the evening and a big-time fan favourite as well. Throughout the fourteen long years of its incredibly successful existence, Wishes has been an important part of the overall Disney experience. Debuted in 2003, this favourite castle projection show offers the most impressive settings to celebrate and wind up your most memorable Disney trip for the day. Whishes’ popularity is such that nobody wants to say good-bye to the Park without visiting this one of a kind Magic Kingdom night-time event.

Fireworks has been an inseparable part of Walt Disney World since inception. Over the years, with so many changes and upgrades it evolves into a major night-time experience that we don’t want to miss. Without seeing the fireworks it seems the day at the park is incomplete. And undoubtedly Wishes is one of the finest offerings in this regards. It has all the ingredients of an amazing Disney tradition that will never cease to exist. Whether it’s the fantasy flight of Tinkerbell from the castle every night or the amazing themes, songs and characters, the larger than the Park fireworks display or the state-of-the-art performances every night, Wishes brings together the best kept fantasies that Disney World has to offer.

However, like its predecessor – Fantasy in the Sky, Wishes too is followed with a new and most anticipated successor – Happily Ever After. The new fireworks show replaces Wishes starting May 12, 2017. The new Show inspires guests to experience their happiest dreams ever, featuring latest projection mapping technology, including original animations and a great theme song. Packed with many new characters and moments from favourite Disney stories such as Brave, Big Hero 6, Moana, Zootopia, Aladdin, Princess & The Frog and more, the new show takes the night-time experience to next level.

The Happily Ever After is truly a dream come true offer for those who are serious about productions going up behind the Castle. But for the Wishes loyal the advent of this new night-time show leads to many fond memories. There are fans who thinks nothing can replaces the Wishes, while there are others who thinks end of Wishes is end of an era. The Show is so deeply connected for some that it brings to life their most memorable Disney moments from childhood. For some the Show is a sweet reminder of their most favourite family moments. Again for some Wishes is the highlight of the entire trip, while for others a Disney trip is just an excuse to watch the Wishes.

Top Reasons Why You Should Visit Iceland

Even the most experienced travelers will assert that Iceland is incomparable to any other country on the planet. The incredible beauty and strength of its natural elements make Iceland unique and vibrant.

Why should you be planning tours to Iceland? Here are some reasons:

Northern Lights

Due to its exceptional geographical position, Iceland Tour is one of the best tours in the world to experience the aurora borealis. These mystical solar lights impressed anyone who has seen them for thousands of years. It is an indescribable spectacle of nature that you will not be able to forget.

Fantastic landscapes

Iceland has recently become a popular destination for directors to film their blockbusters. The country has been the location of famous films such as James Bond, Batman Begins, and Oblivion with Tom Cruise and even Games of Thrones. The lunar landscapes, ice lagoon, and other wonders, are indeed helping to make the country the ultimate travel destination.

The divine natural hot springs

What would Iceland be without its natural hot springs? Adored by both visitors and locals, hot springs are places where everyone can revel in and appreciate the beauty of the present moment. Even better! You can enjoy it throughout the year and literally everywhere, given that there are hundreds scattered across the country.

The adventure!

Planning tours to Iceland bring together the finest treasures of our planet earth: volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls, small Scandinavian fishing villages, fjords, desert, black sand beaches etc. en route for adventure! You can also fully appreciate these Landscapes during a horseback riding on a typical Icelandic horse or during a hike on the most typical trail of the Land Mannalaugar world.

Nature in its pure state

Pure water, fresh air and geothermal activity that respect the environment make Iceland as the ideal destination to absorb all the strength and beauty of nature.

Its capital city Reykjavik

Its capital, Reykjavik, is absolutely charming, pleasant, sure, trendy and bubbling with energy! The city is full of colorful Norse houses, stylish cafes and charming local shops. Moreover, the architectural jewel of the Harpa, the beautiful bay, and the dominant Esja Mountain contribute to add an irresistible magic to the atmosphere of Reykjavik.

The Icelandic geniuses

Icelanders are happy people! Iceland has been one of the top 10 countries in the world for years. This is not surprising, given that the country is based on a developed economy, an excellent health system, long-established peace and a much-unpolluted environment. The icing on the cake is also the most egalitarian country in the world for women!

It’s not so cold!

Due to its geographical position, there is a tendency to think that Iceland is a very cold country. This shot needs to be wiped out right away. The current flow of the Golf Stream, which originates in the Caribbean, flows to the Icelandic coast, which contributes to greatly moderate its climate throughout the year. As a result, in winter the temperature in Iceland rarely falls below -5 degrees. So you can be assured that it is much, much, colder in Montreal or New York!

Go Bushwalking in the Blue Mountains

Only two hours west of the bustling metropolitan city that is Sydney lies an oasis of nature known as the Blue Mountains. Listening to a kookaburra above you in a sprawling, ancient blue gum tree, taking in views from treacherous cliffs and ravines that could put the Grand Canyon to shame, this World Heritage listed site makes for a great day trip from the city. To really experience it, however, stay at least a few nights and enjoy some hiking- or bushwalking, in the words of the locals.

The Blue Mountains are a bushwalker’s paradise. There is something to suit everyone’s level of fitness and trails are well-marked, ranging from short one or two kilometre walks, up to the Six Foot Track, a strenuous three-day hike from Katoomba to the Jenolan Caves.

There’s many great resources online for finding walks, so I won’t try to replicate. Instead, have a look here:

• Bluemts.com.au
• Visitnsw.com

If, after some consideration, the thought of trekking through the bush in a steep, mountainous environment doesn’t appeal to you, fear not; the villages of Katoomba, Leura, or Blackheath are full of cosy cafes for putting your feet up with a tea (or something stronger).

The Blue Mountains encompass a vast area of land, but most visitors will make the town of Katoomba their first port of call. From Sydney’s center, Katoomba is best reached from Central Station, along the Blue Mountains Line. Your Opal card will get you there, as the mountains are part of Sydney’s train network, and will set you back between $5-$10, depending on time of day, and two hours of your time.

If you’re driving, Katoomba is easy to access from the Great Western Highway and parking can usually be found.

Bushwalking Safety Tips

While bushwalking is safe for adults and children alike, it is worth bearing in mind a few safety tips before setting off, especially if you are not an experienced hiker.

• Always let someone know where you are heading and when you expect to return. To help with this, check in with National Park Service and they will loan you, at no cost, a Personal Locator Beacon, with GPS. If you don’t return by a set time, they can use this to find you- while hopefully it won’t come to that, it’s reassuring to have that peace of mind.

• The weather in the mountains can quickly change, from rain to cold to sweltering heat, so check a detailed forecast before setting off. It can vary wildly from Sydney’s weather, so check online here before heading out.

• Follow the marked trail signs and stay on the trail, for your own safety, and don’t underestimate the trail ratings. More advanced trails might require you to rock climb or traverse uneven or difficult terrain, so stick within your comfort level. The National Park Service and information centers can provide maps and recommend which walks would best suit your level.

• Take along basic first-aid supplies, such as bandages for blisters or cuts, aspirin, as well as the basics: plenty of water, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, camera, and well-worn-in shoes.

After you (and your aching legs) have had their fill of walking, there is plenty more to see and do to occupy your time in the mountains. If you haven’t seen it yet, make time to check out The Three Sisters, an unusual rock formation located in Katoomba, the main township of the Blue Mountains. Aboriginal legend tells that three sisters were turned to stone to protect them from unwanted male attention from a nearby tribe, and they remain there to date.

While stunning on any clear day, the Three Sisters are especially breathtaking at late afternoon or early evening light. Come to think of it, this is a great time for photography generally in Australia.

While in Katoomba, check out the vintage shops, cafes, and restaurants and the art-deco architecture, or pop into the Carrington Hotel for a cocktail. From the outside, this hotel has a foreboding resemblance to the Overlook Hotel, a la the Shining, but the interior has been painstakingly restored to the turn-of-the-century Victorian style of its heyday.

Scenic World, although touristy, is worth a visit. The Scenic Railway takes you down (and up) from the visitor center to the forest below, and the Scenic Skyway is an incredible way to see the mountains from above (although probably not for the faint-hearted or those who have a fear of gondola cables snapping).

Top Brand Professional Automotive Tools Reviewed – Know Your Budget

The tool market is well serviced in terms of brands, design, quality and price. The key consideration is to evaluate your needs. For example, it is pointless buying a laptop capable driving sophisticated 3G games when really all that is required from the unit is basic desktop and internet work. This kind of example also applies to buying tools. For instance, why waste one’s budget on buying the most expensive tools when their application is for occasional hobby type tasks.

Lets start with an overview comparison. It is widely agreed that the best quality and designed tools are manufactured by the Snap-on company. This brand of tools is designed for the professional market. No tool brand is perfect and infallible to failure. However, the Snap-on lifetime warranty means that when a tool breaks, it is replaced or repaired by the service representatives. Snap-on tools can be bought from their distribution trucks and vans that visit automotive workshops. Alternatively, their online catalog allows purchasing via the internet. Second-hand and recycled Snap-on tools are also eagerly traded through websites like eBay and eBay Partner sites.

As noted above, Snap-on automotive tools are at the upper price range. However, there is no shortage of professional grade tool brands at price points below that of the Snap-on brand. For example the brands: Matco, MAC and Cornwell are equally respected in the professional automotive sector. Matco, MAC and Cornwell off a range of professional tools that deliver quality and reliability while carrying sound lifetime warranties and professional after sales service. And are less expensive than the Snap-on brand for the budget minded professional automotive technician. The availability of these brands for sale is similar to Snap-on tools. Trucks visit and distribute tools at automotive workshops. Also, online catalogs and auction type websites offer buy opportunities.

For those budget sensitive buyers, the next set of tool brands is SK and Craftsman. The manufacturing quality of these brands meet USA standards and carry similar lifetime warranties like those brands mentioned above. So, for the semi-professional or hobbyist application these tool brands are an ideal choice. Some may argue that the SK brand, although not as popular, is a little superior to the Craftsman brand. But this opinion is subjective. Craftsmanship and SK brand tools are a more accessible to the buying market. For example, Craftsmanship brand tools are stocked at Sears stores, while the SK brand is found in automotive parts stores and outlets.

In summary, if price is no restraint, then tools from the Snap-on range are considered to be the best quality. Where quality and service is still a priority, then brands such as: matco, MAC and Cornwell offer offer quality profession lines of tools as less expensive price points. Finally, the brands SK and Craftsmanship serve the semi-professional market with tools that are not subject to the high demands of daily professional usage. The advice for any buyer is assess the task application of the tool, and allocate your budget to buy the right tool for the right job.

Automotive Dynamic Guide – How to Be Ready to Drive in a Foreign Land

If you are going to be behind the wheel of a new rented car, and in a strange foreign land where you have never driven before, what should you do in preparing to drive?

Just not so long ago, I was in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, located just north of Singapore. As those of you who have traveled widely to Asia would know, the traffic on the roads in most of the Asian countries is heavy throughout the day, and many times driving habits take precedence over traffic rules and regulations, especially when the searing tropical heat bears down on cool heads, and raise tempers!

Before me was a small locally produced Malaysian car – the Perodua Kancil- named after the tiny deer that can run swiftly through the Malaysian jungles.

And I need to use that car, to brave the heavy traffic of the day to move to the next nearest city of Shah Alam to attend to a business meeting.

Alien to the area, alien to the car- what should I do?

Indeed, when you are confronted with such a situation, what should you do?

Keep cool – and PLAN your journey, and use the car intelligently.

For instance, perform the very, very basic inspection on your car before you even use it. This means:

1. check the tires and their pressure

2. check the engine oil and their brake fluid

3. check the battery

4. ensure the brakes are functioning ( there’s nothing like to take it for a short slow ride to put it to the test! )

Plan your journey- for instance, do not be afraid to ask directions and record them down so that you can always refer to the notes. Plan the timing of your journey – so that you can always drive during the slower traffic periods, away from the maddening crowds in the rush hour traffic. Protect yourself especially your eyes from the glaring tropical sun by wearing light sunglasses. Be properly attired. And wear shoes! The last tip on wearing shoes may seem funny, but when it is perennial summer in the tropics, many visitors, especially those who come from the cooler temperate countries would be tempted to wear only sandals!

And when you go on the roads, observe the speed limits. Do not push your vehicle to the maximum speed limits especially where you are driving along strange highways and where traffic jams are a norm.

In my personal case, I was astonished to see cars doubled parked along busy suburb shopping areas and feeder roads while I cruised my way to my destination. I wasn’t sure whether that was allowable, as the double parking of cars in two rows converted the road into a narrow one way path, leading to congestion at many parts. It sure was a “revelation”!

But in a strange land, where you are not the expert in local traffic rules, it is best to play it save. Drive defensively and plan your travel to ease your journey, and you will enjoy that ride.

Five Tips For a Better Great Wall Hiking Tour of China

Great Wall of China is one of the important ancient wonders in the world. Perhaps, in the world, there is no civilized man, who has not heard about the “eighth wonder of the world (Pre-1900 Creation)” – the Great Wall of China. It stretches from the Liaodong Bay to the northeast of Beijing over North China in the Gobi desert. There are several opinions about its exact length, but what we can say for sure is that it extends to a distance of more than two thousand kilometers, and considering extending from her other ramparts, in an amount to obtain all 6000-6500 km. The Great Wall of China was built by hundreds and thousands of soldiers and workers in ancient times. It seems impossible to understand the hard work and great art of this man-made construction until you will experience it yourself.

• Get amazing experience by visiting Badaling or Mutianyu sections for a different situation. If you want to enjoy wild hiking tracks, walk the track from Jiankou to Mutianyu or from Jinshanling to Simatai.

• Each section has different characteristics that can give you amazing experience at a Great wall hiking tour. Choose the sections carefully by keeping various factors in mind such as budget, the time you have available if you just want to see the wall to see what it is or if you want to enjoy walking to cover the long stretch. The stretches are easy, challenging and sometimes dangerous too.

• One important thing you need to consider is that the Great Wall is located in the mountains. This means two things. First, you choose any section prepared to walk; there are various steps to climb and descend. Second, there are stretches of Wall reachable only on foot, sometimes with long climbs and hilly areas and other much more easily accessible and effortlessly by cable car.

• Regardless of where you choose to explore the wall, remember to bring plenty of water, hat, and sunscreen if you go in summer. In winter, you will find it warm that say it is long but very cold.

• If you decide to go to Badaling or Muyantu, try to reach early in the morning between 7 to 8 am, or go in the afternoon. Remember that Chinese buses arrive between 9 and 12 to attractions, so it’s the worst time to do so.

• A third sector that is qualified to receive tourists is Huanghua Cheng, but it is not suitable for everyone, since the land there is too steep and is in ruins, so you could even climb. If you are adventure lover, you must go for great wall tours for maximum enjoyment and thrilling climbings.

To enjoy the trekking at Jinshanling, you must be very athletic and active. Its difficult routes can make you feel tired on the way. To reach the Great Wall of China, you have to cover a distance of 4 hours. Enjoy your vacations with Great wall hiking tours!

Unique Oil Change Concepts Research

In the mobile oil change business there is no standard system, many folks simply build what works or buy a biz-op unit that makes since to them. For years we have studies these various types of units in the market place. If you are in the oil change business you realize how serious it is to stay efficient. In our company like anyone else in this industry, we are out to bring new innovation to the market. We have been looking at ways to better our services.

We have been to http://www.Kibbi.com in Elkhart, Indiana, we have viewed there unit in another state. We have discussed these and other concepts with other engineers and thinkers. What we have decided is that all ideas are worthy of exploration in our quest to find the most efficient and most environmentally sensitive units. Why are we so driven to build a better mouse-trap? Why are we un deterred with the exploitations of Box Stores changing oil, such as Wal-Mart on what appears to be a below cost endeavor at $12.99. Why do we believe that it is possible to stay efficient enough to compete? Because we see the new innovations out on the street and see entrepreneurs everywhere are rising to the occasion.

Well this year in San Diego, Jiffy Lube is announcing a new program for franchisees with extended bays and adding everything from brake jobs, and engine repair including complete R and R rebuilding of motors. It makes sense for them due to the increased competition in the market place. Midas Muffler has also gone to changing brakes and oil changes. Tilden Franchise is also looking to co-partner with other services and to bundle services to compete. Jiffy Lube’s largest franchisee with well over 150 stores; was de-listed by NASDAQ; are we witnessing a new era in automotive repair and oil changes? We think so.

We watched recently as Roger Penske left Kmart as they closed the doors on 500 stores nationwide and now are merging with Sears in their re-organization plan and closing another 150 stores. In Tucson, AZ for instance we see Kmart on the North West side of town pulling out of the market and then we see a new awesome Valvoline Oil Change Facility on the same property with a 2 million dollar carwash and Detailing Center? Why, well as Lance Fisher the proprietor sees it, he can bundle services, get a no interest loan deal from Valvoline, give the customers what they want and his incredible facility will draw three different services to the same property. Is this the answer to the price wars, bundling, like Microsoft? Well Lance Fisher bets with real money in Tucson, is that a good bet? We think it is, you should see this place, WOW, one of the nicest carwashes in the country, ranks up there with Auto-Wash East and Danny’s Family Carwashes in Phoenix.

These are just a few of the latest interesting changes in the Industry. Some would say this Industry is stagnant. We disagree. We are watching Kendall battle for the latest changes in oil change interval extension and the war against traditional thinking with AMSOIL, Mobile One and others. Lots of new innovations and claims to come; who will lead? Well as we approach the pack and have our sights on the Yellow Jersey, we believe that the team who can service the customer and bring the value will be team yellow. We know this is an up hill grind and we will pursue the race with open eyes and an open mind. If you are in the Oil Change Business Think on this.

A German’s Quest for the 60th Summit in the World

Last October 11, 2014, I had the chance to climb with Markus Hogenschurz a German engineer whose passion of scaling every highest mountain in every country around the world.

On this climb, it was his 60th Summit, and it was an honor to climb with a seasoned climber like him to the roof of the Philippines.

We started our day at 5 AM with a bus ride for an hour and then transferred to a chartered motorcycle locally known as “Habal-habal” up to the trail head in Baruring. During this ride, he was amazed on the mode of transportation that we took and says that people living in the are exceptionally extraordinary.

We arrive at the trailhead around 8 AM in the morning and right away started the trek.

My assistant Roy and I observed that our guest is really in good shape for he does not take a single stop during the first hour of the climb and just smiled at us.

On this trip, I can say that this guy was a fast trekker since we arrive at the last village in Tumpis for less than 45 minutes and then head straight to the jungle trail.

We had our lunch in Camp 1 around 11 AM and then continue to trek after few minutes.

On that same day, we arrive at the boulders part around 1:30 pm in which we saw the rock face of Mt. Apo slowly covered with fogs.

We decided to camp in the 87 degree campsite when we reach that part around 4 PM since the weather was not good and a chance of sunset was slim at that time.

Early in the morning, the mountain showed us his beauty by giving us good weather, and we ascend to the highest part of it with blue skies and majestic scenery.

On the center peak, Markus did some treasure hunting since there was a geocache on that area and he found it and signed his name on the small logbook.

After visiting some summits in the peak, we go back to our camp site, had breakfast and head down for home.

On our way back, we trekked the West side of the boulders to see a different view, and it was nice since it was all clear and we can see the beautiful view of Davao City, Davao Gulf and some islands in it.

Climbing with a veteran outdoorsman like Markus is an honor and we were able to arrive back in Davao City afternoon of October 12, 2014, safely.

Engr. Albert C. Gabriel is an Electronics & Communications Engineer by profession, but his passion is adventure, nature, and photography.

A mountaineer for more than a decade, a surfer for seven years and created the Telecommunications Ecological and Adventure Klab ( TEAK) in Davao City.
